Kyle is a multi-faceted musician and scholar: a composer of post-minimalist/totalist music; a musicologist specializing in contemporary music, particular of the "Downtown" variety; and former music critic for the Village Voice. In this blog, he covers a wide variety of topics concerning "postclassical" music -- his favored term for what might be called "classical music" these days, if the term had not become increasingly unusable.
